Not surprised, Apple executives spend a lot of time in China and have seen that the Chinese EV industry is advanced and over capacity.  Tesla’s profit margins have been gradually narrowing and will probably end up to the rest of the automotive industry.

I could see the UI research and software being transformed to a service for the rest of the automotive industry as they are about to be hit by a tsunami of Chinese EV imports, especially the European brands.

It makes sense to me for ISPs and TelCos to reimburse customers for proportional downtime.  If the service is down for 5% of the time for instance, you get a 5% rebate.  It would stave off class action lawsuits and provide an incentive to improve uptime.

Thanks DED for bringing up the issue of ergonomics.  I went pack to a StudioPro and display because I was getting back and neck issues with my MBP.  If the AVP was around then I may have went with AVP instead.  The ergonomics of always bending forward to look at a small screen is becoming a major issue and is even changing how young people look and their posture.

Also loved the DJ and Moog examples…why not a Theremin next.  That would be cool.😎 

Great article DED, though 3D and immersive content (agree much more amazing than the 3D) will be available via AppleTV and Disney, I worry about influencer content being held back by the monopolies of Meta, YouTube and TickTock.

I would like to hear any thoughts you have about this issue.
