    On the assumption Apple/Ireland are found guilty then appealing will drag it out but it is unlikely to change the outcome. On a guilty verdict Ireland has 30 days to appeal.

    Ah another story followed by comments not understanding EU law about illegal state aid and who has to pay if found to be infringing.

    If and it still is a big if Apple is found to have benefited from state aid not allowed under EU law.  Apple has to pay back what is owed.. it is essentially a back dated demand on the taxes it should have paid (if it is found to be in the wrong).

    You'll probably find that the Apple fans here wanted them to fail. When iAd was released, lots of people didn't think that Apple should be involved in something so undignified as selling ads. 

    Except for all the ones that wanted it to succeed to take away revenue from Google.

    Tell me this.  Lets say you bet on a boxing match. You lost. But then the news comes out the match was fixed. Would you still pay your bet to your friend? Hell no.  Now tell me if Apple's share price was not fixed last year? Tell me their was no manipulation. Of course their was. I'm not paying a bet on a 'game' that was fixed. And I'm refusing to pay a bet on a stock that was obviously manipulated and not allowed to reach its fair value.
    If you complain all the time that boxing matches are fixed and still bet on it your a numpty or in this case a person with no honesty, credibility or honour.

    You are right I'm not disputing the facts. It is his style, use of hyperbole, self referential links to back up a point andrabid ramblings that distracts from the facts. it is almost like he is afraid to let the facts talk without trying to hide it.
