The jet black version looks quite decent. No shiny metal frame around the camera bump. Camera/ sensor holes and the raised edges in front not noticeable.

That's simply not the way it works. After a year of sales, the cheapest one will the one sold in most volume, and on down from there. That is the way sales work. In every market. Of every product. On the planet.

Does the SE sell in higher numbers than the 7? Does the 7 sell more than the 6s currently?

Look around you! Have you read anyone on this website, or do you have anyone in your circle that says "Yeah great, i am waiting for this year's 7s" ?

I do not know anyone.

Everyone says "Yeah I am waiting for the revolutionary 8!"

Anyone who wants primarily a cheap phone either buys Android or buys a used iphone, or iphone SE.

--> Demand for the 8 will far outstrip the 7s

Because physics. I'll take the benefits of improved camera technology over the minor annoyances of camera bumps any day of the week.

Why not install a mirror in a 45 degree angle behind the camera opening, to deflect the light? Since the camera is on top corner of the phone, you then have the entire length of the phone (5+ inches) to install any "improved camera tech" that you want.

The front of the new Samsung all-screen phone is perfect. 

Also, Samsung takes a swipe at Apple's ugly camera bump. A video on their website proudly demonstrates that all camera tech of the "rear camera sits flush with the back for a seriously smooth profile."

--> Apple has some catch up to do.

BTW Samsung does not need to look at iphone rumors. They know details of the upcoming phone as they are a large supplier.
