Seriously…since I got mine, just one update to install and it has worked perfectly for me. Sounds great, great screen, I can't complain. I was one of the first to order the LG 4K monitor back in the day when Apple didn't make a 4K model and instead worked with LG…I spent 4 hours trying to get it to work with my laptop and sent it back that same day. So yes, you CAN have a monitor which does not have an "iPad in it", which suffers problems as well. That LG in its first iteration was a piece of junk.

If I had a nickel for every time I have heard "and it will get faster" when programmers do something…over the last 30 years.  Heck, I'd be happy if touch ID would just work everywhere the System asks for a password.

Have a 2016 MBPro. Never had a problem with keyboard previously and I take care of my laptops. Regularly dust aand vacuum it. Occasionally you get a sticky key that sometimes gets better with vacuuming or blowing it oout. However, keyboard is repeating on a's and some o's, which is extremely annoying. I'd take it in for a keyboard replacement, but think I will just hold out a little longer and trade in for a 16". This is the most trouble I've ever had with an Apple laptop. I like the keyboard, just not the lack of longevity, and the difficult replacement.

One thing you *do* give up and will definitely miss if you used ID and switch to Affinity is automation. It has none, at this time. And if you do a lot of page layout with repetitive tasks, you will miss this even more.

For me, the big omission in this release is the fact that there is no automation. No applescript support, no javascript. Where page layout programs like Indesign can really save you time is when you can automate the process by scripting… Hope they get around to this soon. Who wants to keep doing repetitive tasks over and over manually? "Nobody"
