  • Apple disables Group FaceTime as it works on privacy bug fix

This shocking bug is going to hit the front page, apple just can't get a break these days.  They've never been very good at building cloud services, going to get mocked for a long while on this one.

  • Samsung has a long history of mocking Apple before copying it

Samsung didn't slow their phones down as in throttling like apple. The issue was a note 4 OS update which obviously hadn't been tested properly and broke some functionality causing people to gripe.

The Samsung a8s has dropped the headphone jack, hardly a copycat. Apple forced it on customers to save apple money on BOM and also make them even more money on new wireless accessories a customer now needed to buy.

No usb c headphones around yet, so assume market forces are now saying to go wireless, no harm in samsung waiting a few years before doing away with headphone jack.

  • Qualcomm pushed for iPhone exclusivity in response to $1B incentive payment demand, CEO sa...

Apple screws suppliers, all big companies do it to some extent, some are just more aggressive than other. Supermarkets push milk farmers to the point they can hardly make any money. Apple killed GT advanced technologies because it couldn't meet apples demands, screwed some other imaging company to although forgot the name.

Apple is a super aggressive greedy bully, will do whatever it takes to keep generating its billions. Remember they were going super nuclear on android, well that worked out well for them, they lost that war. Apple now trying to screw over Qualcomm, because all they are thinking about is their share price and retaining their ridiculous profit margins.

  • Apple slashes iPhone XR prices for Chinese resellers in bid to kickstart demand

It's not going to help. The Chinese market is affected by other factors than price.

Apple needs to have entry-level products at entry-level prices. I'll keep saying it — releasing a new Mac mini at *twice* the price of the original is not the trend we need to be seeing. The mini is supposed to be their entry-level offering, but is currently priced (and spec'ed) at anything but that. And then the same with iPhone.... ignore the SE, release an XR at the a higher price. It's a scary trend. Let's hope they have the wisdom to bring a new SE with the XR design language.
Remember Apple only want to sell to rich people, Tim Cook stated and I quote "we're not interested in the junk business". I hope one day he lives to regret saying that.
