Remember when you could charge your phone and listen to music at the same time?

No, because I never listen to it while it's charging.  It usually means it's plugged in somewhere in my house or office, which also means I'm near my computer (as most would be) so it's irrelevant.

Oh... you're a special person where you plug your phone in and have zero options to be near your computer, or just cannot fathom to be disconnected from your phone for even an hour to get a decent charge that you have a hissy-fit and tech-withdrawals?  So sad to be you.
I'm glad Apple's designing for you only.  And you seem like such a nice, empathetic guy too, so we're doubly blessed.

Lets hope they include their own S10X too. Only a small (though disproportionately vocal) number of users require x86 compatibility. The majority of runtime can be handled by ARM with x86 spun up if required.
An idle thought: seeing as Apple can do excellent ARM processors, why not design out their own x86 chip for Intel or someone else to build? Got to be some reason for that massive R&D spending.
Not so idle.  There's podcast chatter that Apple will be having Intel make all their ARM chips to remove their helping out Ssamsung, and with Intel making more than ever with Apple, Apple might then have AMD build them an X86 variant specially optimized to MacOS......  ...and they have a good working relationship with AMD as well.

  • KGI says 'iPhone 7' won't have 'many attractive selling points,' predicts competitors to outperform

You don't need an analyst. Based on my own observations, I've been questioning what Ive and Cook have been up to recently? Rose gold products, a bland looking watch that requires an iPhone to use, Beats, the contorted non 4K Apple TV? Hell, I may cop a Skylake MBP soon, but the only thing I've seen fit to purchase from Apple lately is a .99 cent a month iCloud upgrade and one Prince song. This isn't Steve Jobs' Apple, and by any impartial measure, Cook and Jony simply aren't cutting it. They are the parties responsible for AAPL stock tanking.
...and lots (and lots) of watch band styles...

There's always a price to pay when a visionary founder's gone, at least in time - which can be a period of some years with a full pipeline, good teams and someone who can milk these resources, and Cook and co have been able to more or less do that, but each next move seems more and more in the woods IMO.

Cook's a supply chain guy with an interest in social isssues.  Ives a) always needed someone with a stronger vision to keep his "preciousity" in check and b) also feels like he's maybe losing interest besides.

Not promising. I'm even moving away from all the time I've spent for many years following Apple sites.

Meanwhile, I wanted a port and you gave me a pink colored "refesh" still with only one meaning I'd still have to live with an ugly dongle sitch.  Nah, not enough.

  • First look: Apple offers premium power at budget pricing with new iPhone SE

Really, compared to an iPhone 6s, the only thing missing from the iPhone SE (aside from a larger display) is pressure sensing 3D Touch.

Pretty sure I know what one cardinal feature will be in next year's SE+.....

PS: the continuing 16/64 GB shuffle really makes me think less of the company.  Such a naked tactic that leaves most budget buyers with a sub-par owning experience, or simply pads Apple's margins for those that bump up.  Not a customer-centric way of doing biz.

  • FBI complains it can't break encryption on phone used by San Bernardino terrorists

For encryption to protect anyone, it must protect everyone.
Yeah, well there’s a difference between you protecting your drunken orgy photos and a pedophile protecting the photos of abuse of a three year old child isn’t there. And for those who are always screaming about the Fourth Amendment try reading it sometime. It has an intentional back door that the founding fathers put there so legitimate, legal search and seizure can take place.
Your claimed back door in the 4th didn't force homebuilders or owners to build structures with doors and windows that could be entered by anyone except the owner...
