How to lock apps, hide apps, and find them again in iOS 18
"It means you can unlock your iPhone to hand over to someone, but know, for instance, that they can't accidentally open your banking apps."This has to be about the dumbest example I have seen in print. Who would not have security on their banking app? For that matter what banking app would even allow you to use it without security (password / FaceID / etc.).

Apple starts allowing third-parties to join the Find My app ahead of 'AirTags' launch
I believe only Apple devices (1st party) can do the detecting/reporting, this allows third party devices to be detected and reported through the find my app (which is very cool). It uses a little unused space in the cellular packet for reporting so it shouldn't cost you any data. It's also been available on Apple devices for a while so if there was a measurable performance hit we'd have known about it.MisterKit said:I am a little puzzled about a third party device detecting other devices. I removed the app after they changed the privacy policy and planned to do a lot more tracking of their users. No thanks.
