Apple working on ways to use an iPad as a display for the Mac
This really pleases me to hear. Mostly because I REALY want native support for iPad pro as display for my mac. And also because I find the support in MacOS for multiple displays to be lacking. I use a wacom cintiq-screen, and I always set it as mirror my Macbook-display. I think it's too hard to use several monitors. Menus and such is always stuck on the wrong screen, and I spend too much time figuring out how to customize everything. -
Elizabeth Warren confirms Apple is on her big tech breakup list
Whatever you think about the idea sett aside (I'm from sweden so I think it sounds reasonable), there are some things that get me wondering... "If you run a platform where others come to sell, then you don't get to sell your own items on the platform because you have two comparative advantages." Well, so the App-store, Apple don't get to get paid for what few Apps they actually sell? Do Pages and numbers still cost money? I can't seem to find any other apps. Maybe Apple Music would be eligible though. I see no problem Apple making Pages and numbers free. They tend to agree with her view on privacy. "Platform utilities would not be allowed to transfer or share data with third parties.", which is something Apple already doesn't do. -

The iPod touch is a worthy end to the iconic music line
The iPod Touch was my gateway into iOS (or even the Mac world plus apple watch!) I bought a second generation at discount for 99$ because I was so curious to try out Apps! I would say it was a great sell for apple, after just two weeks of use I knew I COULD NOT live without an iPhone! Know I'm all invested in the ecosystem and will only buy Apple-things.
Which will make me sad if they discountinue it. I wish they would upgrade it with a new processor at least. And frankly, it's annoyingly hard to listen to apple music. This summer I worked at a youth festival and wanted to have music in the workshop area I had. Thing is you need an iPhone or an iPod touch fifth generation to listen to Apple Music. And I couldn't leave my iphone of course. I think they should introduce some less expensive iPod again that can play Apple Music. The last iPod Nano would be perfect. I can't pay 199$ to play my Apple Music, they should have some less expensive way. They should have some 49$ WIFI only no Apps iPod. All people who run, do they use Apple Watch or iPhone? I know there might not be a big market for 49$ iPods, but still. -
Here are all of the Apple retail store openings, moves, and remodels
The new Apple Store in Sweden makes me sad, I think the original design was better: http://feber.se/mac/art/344047/hr_r_apples_frslag_p_nya_apple/
In Stockholm there is something called Skönhetsrådet (the beauty council) that has a veto for new constructions. Basicaly everytime someone wants to build a tall building they destroy the plans. They don't want anything to be in the park, but currently they seem to be overruled since Apple got to buy the place, which might have been a mistake.
I understand it correctly people have been angry that this will be a permanent building. The TGI Friday that currently is as the same position was only renting the place, and the building was owned by the town. I wish they could build one of those underground-stores. Everyone would have been happy, and Apple would have gotten a great flagship store.
