  • Leaked Apple document says new Siri device is coming by fall 2021

I know a lot of people have said they don’t want it or don’t think Apple needs to make it, but I would love an Echo Dot style device. I have several in my house to control my smart lights & devices and they are always giving me trouble. Telling me the lights are responding or just ignoring my commands completely. Then I’ll grab my phone and ask Siri to do it and it works perfectly. I normally have my iPhone on me, so it’s not a huge issue personally, but for my kids, in-laws, babysitters, etc...it would be nice to have a “Siri Dot” in those rooms to replace the echos.

  • Should you get a wired or wireless controller for Apple Arcade?

When Apple announced iOS 13 earlier this year, they also opened up support for Sony's Dualshock 4 controllers and Microsoft's Wireless Xbox One controller. So if you already have these two controllers at home, you'll be able to connect these controllers to your Apple devices when Apple's new OS goes live in a couple of weeks.
I have to disagree some here, and advise to just buy a Sony DS4 or Xbox controller and wait a bit (unless you really, really just have to get playing now). While I do like my Nimbus, it isn't a DS4 (in feel, or possibly even quality). It's hard to describe, but it just isn't quite as responsive or ranges/engagement-zones aren't as well designed as the DS4.

So, instead of 'if you have already' I'd say you're more likely to just want to start there.
I'm not a gamer, so my knowledge is limited.   But I thought that PS & X-Box controllers used some different type of communications protocol rather than bluetooth.   If that is correct, how would they connect to an Apple Device

Not sure if there was anything
proprietary about it but  iOS 13 makes them compatible. I’m using a Dualshock 4 now with iOS 13 beta on my backup iPhone 7 as well as on my Apple TV. Hooks up just as easily as any other Bluetooth device now. If your going to invest in a controller, just get a PS4 or Xbox controller. They are miles better, quality-wise, than any of these MFi controllers. The only way I’d recommend something different is if you wanted something like a Gamevice that give you that PSP/Switch type form factor.

  • Disney+ offers four simultaneous streams at 4K for $6.99 per month

So with all the “G” rated options there is space in the market for people that want stories that are closer to the realities of life be that in violence, sex or language. It does not mean that I’m looking for porn / snuff. Just the freedom of directors to tell the story in best way without needing to worry about meeting a G rating. Streaming content rated R for adults. Shame we dont have HBO down under.

An R rated star wars , just to get some better dialouge would be sweet.
No Star Wars movie/show has ever been rated above PG-13. I find it laughable that you think a R rating would somehow equate to “better dialogue” Basically it regards to dialogue, they’d now be able to say “f**k”. That’s going to make it so much better 🙄

  • Review: Rotor Riot Controller brings L3 and R3 buttons to iOS games

With iOS 13 brining support for PS4 & Xbox One controllers there will be ZERO reason to buy/use anything else. Just get a cheap clip to attach it the the remote/phone. Build quality & comfort crush all the MFi controllers. Only interesting aspect here is the wired connection but if you are that hardcore that every millisecond counts, your probably playing on PC or console for those games anyways.

  • Xbox game streaming to iPhone & iPad surfaces in setup screenshots

I use this a good bit with my PS4 now. Slower paced game with better since there’s some lag. iOS 13 will make it so much better though, because then I can use my DualShock and not the god awful touchscreen controls.
