Developers claim that Apple's privacy-first features are 'atomic bomb' for revenue
If you require ad revenue and data mining to "compete", you're on the wrong platform and iOS isn't for you.
If these companies want to really compete, they should charge upfront and see if there really is value in their apps rather than offering something for free and adding all the revenue via hidden costs to the consumer. Quite a dishonest way of competing. -
Apple Watch Support for Bike+ cut back due to GymKit implementation issues, says Peloton
That's a big gaffe on Apple's fitness side. Engineers and designers should understand that circuit training, CrossFit, and other very popular workout programs integrate more than one type of workout within a workout.
Is this another example of Apple kicking the can down the road with incremental updates or an honest miss on the part of engineers and designers? -

App Store subscription apps raked in $10.3B in 2020, nearly 4X more than Google Play
Not surprised by this. I recently switched to iOS from Android after losing all faith in Google to pretty much do anything they promise they'll do.
I use MyRadar as my weather application (great Hurricane and storm tracking). I signed up for the $10/yr subscription since it works on my iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. On Android, it was a good on phones, but terrible on tablets and non-existent on wearables.
The value proposition on iOS is far greater, leading to more people willing to subscribe/pay for apps and services compared to Android.
