  • Chinese iCloud data moved to servers operated by state-owned telco

It's not really surprising. Why would China allow its citizens to have their data sitting in the US where the NSA can snoop on it. The EU has the same requirements.

  • Former Apple employee pleads not guilty to stealing self-driving car trade secrets

Hey Apple, here’s some advice ‘don’t hire someone named Zhang. The stereotype is all too often true. I work with Chinese companies, one that is ‘backed by the government’ they are ruthless and dishonest and don’t value contract agreements. They intercept data from competing firms, and always seem to know what prices you offer others. Their patent process is an absolute joke - you must assume your IP and processes will be stolen, just a matter of how long it takes them to offer a knock off. Sorry if I offend anyone - just the truth.
If Apple stopped working with Chinese people, your phone price would triple considering they're all made in China and plenty of parts are from Taiwan.

  • Review: Ecovacs Ozmo 601 is an iPhone-controlled robo vac that can also mop

So it's designed to clean up liquids that have spilled? Or to actually clean the floor? It's difficult to imagine a dirty mop being dragged around the floor will do much good. I guess it can clean up a few spots in the kitchen but replacing a real mop still seems a while away unfortunately. Regardless, I'm very optimistic about the progress in home automation and can't wait to see how homes look in 15 years.

My 26 months old daughter play my iPhone 6 for over a year, and the phone still work, as I type this comment by it, this is a real miracle.
Give a Samsumg to a 12 -24 mths baby, you will realize how tough the iPhone is :DDD
There's a Galaxy S5 that fell from a plane and continued recording the whole way down in case you're curious how a Samsung would handle a fall. In the hands of a child though, well my wife's old Samsung had the screen shattered by our daughter earlier this year. She now has an iPhone (my wife, not the daughter) so let's see how long that lasts.

HP, iBM, Dell, and Amazon, all define tech mediocrity in the extreme. nothing will come of it....

Amazon, mediocre? Tell that to anyone considering buying cloud services. Or anyone that wishes they could automate a warehouse as well as they do.
