Apple supplier Foxconn buys Belkin, Linksys, Wemo for $866M
Of all the Lightning cables I’ve used, only Belkin’s has caused RF interference that kept TouchID from working when plugged in. They also make a USB-C cable that will let you see, but not transfer, files from a GoPro. Good riddance.

This makes me wonder why Apple are replacing the cylinder form factor due to “thermal issues.” It doesn’t seem to have thermal issues.

Pixelmator Pro debuts with powerful image editing tools, machine learning tech
Can it generate drop shadows yet, or do they still expect us to do that by hand? A cheap image editor that came free with a scanner I bought in the 90s could generate drop shadows, but the last time I looked at Pixelmator it still couldn't. I'm curious if people are still giving this app an undue helping of praise.

Gawd almighty that Ugly Red Dot looks more hideous each time I see it. $700 and up for a stainless steel Watch with fancy band, and Apple puts that URD on the crown. Everyone involved in bringing that idea into production should be fired.
