  • Apple Card offers simplified and secure Goldman Sachs-backed credit card with daily reward...

Standard isn’t always best when many cards have better rewards than 2%. Also, my standard purchases are extremely low compared to other categories. There’s practically nowhere that I purchase things that I can’t get at least 3% back and up to 5% on most things.

Depends on how one defines "best", doesn't it? The Amazon Prime Store Card, for example, gives you 5% back... with a 28.24% annual APR.

Apple committed to a low (albeit unspecified) APR, with no fees, no late charges, and no penalties. Not to mention the not-so-minor fact that you get your rewards back daily as Apple Cash. Not at the end of the month, not when you redeem them. Daily.

Then there's the secure unique randomized card number per transaction. No number or signature to steal on the physical card. No tracking of purchases. No sales of transaction data.

I don't know about you, but there's a ton of value in privacy and security.
Fees and APRs don’t matter if you pay your balance in full.
You realize that being able to pay off your cards every month isn’t the norm, right?
It is very normal for those of us who are mature with our money and only buy what we can afford. Look up Dave Ramsey. If being in debt is normal, I'm very happy being abnormal.

Funny to watch people get so excited about something as mundane as a credit card. Up next, the Apple shoelace! I use my costco card at costco and my 2% back citi MC everywhere else. I don't really care if I miss out on an extra 1% back on a $30 purchase. That extra $0.30 won't make a difference in my life. Outside the iPhone (and less so the Mac), Apple is turning into a company I care less and less about. But, I did make a lot of money on their stock

  • iPad, iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad Pro: How to choose the best iPad for your needs and budget...

Yeah no. The "Good, Better, Best" product tiers existed on Jobs as well. This is no different for the iPads (iPad, iPad Air, iPad Pro); except now there's also a mini form factor if portability is your deal. I suspect it won't be for most people, that most people will choose either the $329, $499, or $799 tiers of full-sized iPads. For my mom, the $329 was it. For me it was $799. For those who need some of column A and some of column B, $499 is the same old iPad price, all these years later.

It's not confusing at all unless one squints their eyes and tries very hard to be confused. The rest of us can figure out where to land: Good, Better, or Best.
Sure, "good, better, best" but there's 5 models. Do we really need a 9.7, 10.5, 11 and 12.9" models? Retina vs. liquid retina. ProMotion vs. no ProMotion. Pencil 1 support vs. Pencil 2 support. But, I'm not surprised at your response as you're critical of anyone who's critical of Apple. I used to be like you in my youth.

Ha ha ha! Like I said in this thread (https://forums.appleinsider.com/discussion/209292/apples-experiential-retail-success-lies-in-improving-a-customers-life-claims-angela-ah/p4) she was useless and accomplished nothing. But, she raked in $100's of millions and we're left with $1,400 iphones and lousy macs in her wake. Tim Cook does not look good after two major retail hiring fails.
Retail management has zero to do with the price points of top-tier iphone models. It’s why you also don’t give her credit for the low tier price prices, like the $329 iPad.

Technically 5 years is not a failed hire. One year, absolutely. But in every fortune company I’ve worked for, 5 years is not short. We’re not executives, but still it’s not technically a fail.
Not necessarily true. She could have pushed for high prices to make the products and stores look even more premium. For god sakes, she sold a plain hoodie for $390 at burberry (likely made in china).

Considering Cook, Ive, Craig, Eddie, etc... have spent decades at Apple, 5 years is a failure.
