How to share files using iCloud Drive
StrangeDays said:Yikes. Yeah this is a nitemare when it comes to ease of use. They need to refactor...
1) The file must reside in iCloud.
2) Right click / Share / Add People. On iOS: Select / Share button / Add People.
If you want to add full UNIX style server capabilities to a personal mobile device with all Directory services LDAP etc. that's another story... -
Which to buy - Apple Smart Keyboard Folio vs Logitech Slim Folio Pro
djames4242 said:Shouldn't it also be worth mentioning that the smart connector can be a superior way to connect than Bluetooth? I use a Bluetooth keyboard and am constantly annoyed that when I need to enter text, I do not get the on-screen keyboard because my BT keyboard is still connected because I've forgotten to turn it off. Often it's across the room and I have to get up to turn it off, or shut off Bluetooth on my iPad.
With a smart connector, as soon as I go back into tablet mode, I don't have to worry about whether-or-not I have remembered to turn off my keyboard. I know it sounds like a minor gripe, but it's annoying enough that it's had me wondering if Apple's keyboard is right for me
Why shouldn’t I use an external keyboard while keeping the iPad in portrait mode? With BT keyboard I can do that.

Which to buy - Apple Smart Keyboard Folio vs Logitech Slim Folio Pro
Apple doesn’t need those folio keyboards. Those are a marketing mistake. They multiply that mistake by a few orders of magnitude in their product pages, presenting the iPad with those silly keyboards, as if those are an intrinsic part of the iPad concept. If there is an indispensable accessory to be presented with the iPad this is the Pencil, not the keyboard. I purchased the newly released 10.5” iPad Air 3, this is a great device, but never felt an envy for its smart folio keyboard, that tries to appear “lightweight” but rather appears as “incomplete”. Instead I purchased a Targus VersaVu case, for support, protection and rotational freedom. If I had to use a physical keyboard, I’d choose definitely that Logitech Slim Folio Pro for being a ”whole product”. I am also impressed with Logitech’s commitment to the iPad, as I experienced with their AnyAngle case for the iPad Mini.

Mac malware jumps more than 60% in three months, massive uptick in adware
Theoretically you can get malware from any website that displays ads. So running an ad blocker is of crucial importance not because ads are annoying, but because those ad networks are unable to cure and disinfect their network against malware. So those cocky websites that order you to turn off your ad blocker are actually asking you to disable your computer’s malware protection.
1) Please please please disable Safari’s “open safe files after downloading” option. That option appears to be On in every update of Safari or macOS. Check that after every update and disable it. You cannot prevent the download of the malware payload on your Mac via an ad, that happens in a blink. The ad system is so primitive that it does not discriminate between “display” and “download”. But you can prevent the launch of that payload by disabling that Safari option. Most common form of the malware payload was the Installer package format “.pkg”, but I recently saw a disk image “.dmg” format as well !
2) Stay clear of those web sites with questionable / pirated content. Since the main venue for Mac malware is the web, that should not require further explanation. Stay clear of Usenet and torrent sites as well. -
Designers have social duties beyond a product's launch, says Apple's Jony Ive
