Apple stock hammered for third consecutive market day, falls on news of more tariffs
Regardless of what the Orangutan does, world trade is going to pivot towards Asia in the coming decades. Why would it not. The two largest countries in the world (in terms of population) are next to each other and both are predicted to have a larger economy than the USA within 20 years. Yes, they have less disposable wealth, but they have almost 9x the number of people in those 2 countries alone. And countrries 4 and 5 on the population list are in the same region.
The way to compete with that, is to work in partnership with Europe and the rest of the world. Use soft power to influence and shape relationships. Instead Trump is isolating the USA from all it's allies and partners. Anyone who thinks this will end well for the USA is in dreamland. Its likely to cause a global recession in the short term. Yes the stockmarket will bounce back, but it's only the wealthy that will benefit from that. And if the US does not get wealth inequality under control there is a reckoning coming (as has happened to every "empire" in history) -
Atto's Fibre Channel and dual 100 gigabit Thunderbolt 5 adapters supercharge Mac media pro...
"Although Apple has yet to ship Thunderbolt 5 hardware, support is expected in future iterations of the MacBook Pro and Mac Studio."
"Thunderbolt 5 is available on select high-end Macs, including the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M4 Pro or M4 Max chips, the M4 Pro Mac mini, and the latest Mac Studio configurations featuring M4 Max or M3 Ultra chips"
These 2 sentences directly contrradict each other. Who's checking this stuff before it's posted? -

Apple stock bloodbath continues after China applies retaliatory tariffs
“ This is the first time the shares have been below $200 since June 11, 2024. Even during COVID and what was then seen as a calamitous drop, Apple's share price was at $243.34.”Someone needs to check their facts and account for stock splits. Apple didn’t rise above $200 until June 2024. -
Review: OWC ThunderBlade provides silent & fast Thunderbolt 3 storage
Are you able to compare this to the OWC Envoy Pro EX (VE). Both drives claim 2800mb/s on the owc website so paying extra for the Thunderblade seems a bit stupid. Admittedly, the thunder blade has larger capacity options, but for 1TB or 2TB the envoy is cheaper, has a built in cable, doesn’t require your cpu for RAID, and with only 1 drive it’s probably less likely to fail. What am I missing?
