'Apple Glass' details leaked, will cost $499 and work with prescriptions
I realize the leak has been reported as not having a camera, but my guess is that that means “no user-accessible camera” — so no ability to take pics (because that’s creepy AF, as Google taught us), but the device could still have a discrete, RGB sensor.
I think this is one of the many reasons that Apple has doubled (tripled?) down on its brand value of privacy. “Trust us — the user can’t access the camera.”
Why? Because I have a very hard time believing that a small LiDAR sensor would be capable of much, especially at ranges >5 feet. -

Britain's NHS rejects the Apple & Google COVID-19 exposure notification technology
Insane
This reminds me of States rolling their own digital drivers license apps or that crappy MCX QR code payment system joke that retailers tried to build.
For the love of God, if it needs to be standardized, please work with the two companies that control 99.99% of smartphone OSes in the western world. -
