  • AI computer showdown - MacBook Air vs. Microsoft Surface Laptop Copilot+ PC

Tech specs comparison, any lazy tech oriented website is capable of doing… as other mentioned, expected some ‘value added’ based on the title…
Btw I still find touch screen not very usefull - everytime i see the laptops with displays full of fingerprints that make the reading of the screen quite difficult in very bright conditions - no thank you

  • Apple isn't done with concessions in iOS to placate the European Union

How could the EU possibly be looking out for its residents if there is a way to allow developers to ask for and get more personal data from users. Only someone not understanding the consequences would grant this position and it is one that should not even be possible to do.
Developers operating in EU have to comply with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), which means they cannot access the data only because they want, but there has to be reason for it. Of course there are for sure some that try not to comply, but most do…

  • Apple FineWoven case review: Not the leather replacement we were hoping for

I don't understand the virtue signaling around leather. The animals are slaughtered for their meat anyway, so what are we supposed to do--throw the skins away?

It’s everything - water and feeding them - what can be used to plant food for people. Cows burping and farting - greenhouse gases. Not very animal friendly keeping them… stress by slaughtering… just to name some of the arguments that may speak against using animal products - in nutrition, cars, furniture, protective cases… not saying i support/agree with all of them, but you asked for the reasons

  • USB-C in iPhone 15 is all but certain as more components surface

Sad thing is that the only standard is the physical appearance of the connector. Otherwise it is a mess… Example from non-Apple world. A friend of mine has a One Plus phone that supports 75 W charging. BUT only with original One Plus charger. Connect it to any 100 W laptop charger with USB-C connector and you charge with 15 W only… so much for the ‘standard’ thing…
