Apple has sold a total of 500 million iPads in the last 10 years
When the first iPad came to the market, the reviews were not that positive. They mostly said it was an oversized iPhone and they even made fun of the name referencing femenine hygiene products. Only knowledgeable Apple commentators like Walter Mossberg saw the iPad's potential. It was the 3rd version of the iPad, with better camera and more mature iPad specific software that it really took off. It has become a rule of thumb that if a new Apple product comes out to great reviews, it may be a flop! Almost every successful Apple product has come to negative to lukewarm reviews. -
Apple stock could hit $200 on unmatchable digital transformation to Services
This coming from the guy who predicted for years that the Apple TV was coming and would disrupt the TV industry. Even though Apple has no control of how it is valued, I don't think Apple has to do anything earth shattering to get to 2T or higher in the next 2 to 3 years, as long as they continue to refine their current products and come with a new nice one once in a while. Interestingly enough, nobody predicted Apple at 2T this year, mainly because the financial analysis industry is a sham, and Apple is always a miss-step away from "DOOM". -

Apple threatens to close Epic Games developer account on Aug. 28
Interesting. This may impact iOS/macOS gaming even further, potentially making third party developers choose to drop support of iOS/macOS or find a new game engine.
This is not Apple attacking all of Epic's entire business but a gross miscalculation from Epic's part. If they sell services to third parties that are based on Apple support/rules, and they decide to challenge Apple by not only breaking the rules of their developer's account, but also suing them, they are the ones that created a horrible situation for their other customers who use the Unreal Engine. It looks like Epic's CEO bravado is much better than its legal team!
Apple would lose out on Unreal Engine 5 as well it sounds like.It told Epic that by August 28, Apple will cut off Epic’s access to all development tools necessary to create software for Apple’s platforms—including for the Unreal Engine Epic offers to third-party developers, which Apple has never claimed violated any Apple policy. Not content simply to remove Fortnite from the App Store, Apple is attacking Epic’s entire business in unrelated areas.
If the Unreal Engine can no longer support Apple platforms, the software developers that use it will be forced to use alternatives.
