  • Apple exec confirms Logic Pro X getting Touch Bar support by 'early next year'

With the laptops, the path is to pack the most power possible in the most portable possible package. They just released proof of this....
Nice theory, kind of like socialism.  Doesn't work so well in practice.  Apple has significantly reduced the simple, straightforward usability of the computer by going all in on USB-C instead of providing some legacy connectivity such as HDMI or an SD slot.  People that really are using their computer to do work now have to live in Dongle Land, which is a sharp contrast to how Apple used to do business.

  • All 2017 iPhones likely to have glass casing, stainless steel edges may be limited to high...

Now that the mechanical home button is being phased out, iPhone 8 could be further streamlined by removing the mechanical volume buttons on the side, plus their supporting components, either by incorporating their functions into iOS, by replacing them with a touchscreen+Taptic solution, by assigning those functions to Siri, or some other modern approach. Mechanical buttons are so 20th century.
Not really.  Some car manufacturers have tried to eliminate buttons and knobs from HVAC and radio stacks, and almost universally have added them back in.  There are many situations where a physical button or knob that is always at the same location on the device is superior to any kind of touchscreen or software-emulated alternative.  Primarily, any control that is adjusted frequently benefits from this, because the granularity of control will probably be better with a physical button/knob, and I can adjust it without having to look at it.

Clinton is just trying to keep her emails from the public. What a corrupt soul.
Who volunteers their emails for public perusal? You? Has Trump? Do we have an archive of every communication Bush made? Another other president ever, apart from some Nixon recordings?

What an absurd thing to even suggest. Are all your emails online and open to the public? Might there be some embarrassing line or two in the 50,000 emails we now routinely generate?
Hello classified info!  As a prior member of the Air Force that dealt with (and still does in my current position in the private sector) classified materials day and day out, using an unsecured, off the books server for this purpose is a YUGE breach of law.  Why Comey has not prosecuted Clinton is simply beyond me.  I've seen members of the military and civilians working for the DoD go down for far, far less.

Term limits across the board are an excellent start to preventing systemic corruption.
Hear hear.  Personally I'd prefer a return to the gold standard so that our money actually means something, and keep government from printing at will.
