Sounds like they got the message that people don't want to pay $1k.  Good.  It was a long way from an iPhone8 to an XS, really too far.  Everything is sounding good so far.

Meh.  A lot of this stuff is awesome once you have cash coming on a continual basis.  the problem is when you don't have cash coming in regularly, or enough of it.  I work in the startup area as well as consulting.  Life has taught me one thing in this area, take care of the customer.  If you take care and focus on the customer, then you create value for all.  If you focus on just the shareholder, you don't create value for anyone long term.  Sears, IBM, and GE are current examples of companies that have focused too much on the shareholder, and all of their businesses have seen a significant downturn.  

As a developer, I need both mac and windows support.  To openly campaign to remove Windows compat is to be irresponsible to the marketplace.  If users don't need Windows, that's fine.  Don't penalize me for your lack of needs.

Not a fan of the touchbar, but I can live with it.  Definitely not a fan of the keyboard.

i hope that the new Macs have the 10nm Intel CPUs.  Intel really screwed up with thinking they could keep the 14nm process going and scaling it down to 10nm.  Major screwup by them.  I’d hope that this would be the 10nm CPUs and then we’d start to see some arm CPUs out there.

changing CPUs is not for the faint of heart, but I’d expect Apple to be able to pull this off before anyone else.

If you are questioning your need for the 2019 Mac Pro, you are not the intended target.  The marketplace for the Mac Pro is fairly small, but vocal.  If you are editing a 2hr 15 minute 8k video, you need the Mac Pro.  If you are compiling Microsoft Office for Mac, you probably need it.  If you are Oracle, you probably need it.  There are some use cases and they will pay for it gladly.  I'm not the intended target for it.
