I think it would be overkill for most. But I'm one of those people for whom it wouldn't be. Let me explain. I am a travel blogger/photographer. I recently traded my bulky dslr & lenses for an iphone as my main camera. I take hundreds and hundreds of pics while traveling. Yes, there is the cloud, but I am not always in range of wifi or cellular where i go. So for me, 512GBs isn't overkill. :-)

I don't think it's correct to say Apple is "eliminating" or "abandoning" Touch ID in the iPhone 8. It just seems Apple wasn't able to incorporate Touch ID under the OLED screen. That's all. They just ran into trouble, and ran out of time. The facial recognition tech was there, so they went with that. I would imagine once Apple works out the kinks, they'll put Touch ID back into the iPhone 8s next year. But if not having Touch ID is a deal breaker for you, you can always get the 7s this year. That will definitely have Touch ID still.

I am all for this! Apple should have been working on this a looooong time ago. Facebook has become so annoying with all their targeted ads. It's like that South Park episode....DOES...SHE...KNOW....SHES....AN...AD!? Lol. But FB has such a headstart on Apple, it's gonna be an uphill battle for them to make most FB users switch. 

why invest all this money in china? Why not build these r&d facilities here in the USA? And recruit talent from US universities?
