  • Spotify says Apple's App Store changes omit 'price flexibility,' customer data

Spotify shouldn't be offsetting the fees they need to pay to operate their business onto their customers in the first place. Those fees are a business expense. It shows how broken and idiotic their business model is, from a consumer point of view (which is the point of view that matters given customer retention is what would allow their business to survive), to offset tax deductible expenses onto their customers. No company who nickel and dimes customers is going to be wildly successful.

  • After Apple's objections, UK removes encryption backdoors from Investigatory Powers Bill before pas

Eric Berne pointed out in his 'Games People Play', that 'criminals' are amongst the least studied of all the tribes, why? because the ones who are in jail are overwhelmingly not the actual criminals that psychologists would like to study, they are just the ones who get caught, in other words, the fools. The point I'm labouring to make is that only faux terrorists are going to use an iPhone if it has a built in back door, serious genuine dangerous terrorists will simply use the best safest encryption that it is possible to buy.
Exactly, like that new app FBIencryptosure...

  • 1Password Teams launches with introductory pricing after 7-month beta period

I love 1Password...I use it easily on all of my Macs (Work/Personal). Its so handy and before someone says it (and someone ignorant will), NO its not the same as iCloud Keychain!!!

One thing of note for 1Password, if you want iCloud syncing you have to buy it off the Mac App Store. Otherwise, you're stuck with syncing with something like Dropbox which isn't as handy. I strongly recommend this for everyone. It can be a little confusing to get setup, but once you do it works like a charm across devices no matter what browser you're using.

I'm glad I bought this instead of "renting" it. I hate that what seems like every company is using this subscription model with software now. I DO NOT WANT TO RENT SOFTWARE!!! I want to buy it and own it!
Generally true, but the app alone doesn't allow shared vaults for families or teams. That's what the subscription is for

  • Apple to make Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan an Indian brand ambassador - report

Shah Rukh Khan is a mega-star in India. If Apple did not go into this with him as a whatever in mind then they didn't know what they were doing. But, I figure Apple, as usual, knew exactly what it was doing.
