Call me old fashioned (or just old) but your job as a driver is to DRIVE. Being distracted by entertainment is simply irresponsible. 

The Academy is less supporting movies than movie theaters. Where's the money going to be? 

Imagine if the music awards were only given to artists whose music is on CD. Sounds stupid, doesn't it?

So supporting 30 day old popcorn is the Academy's ultimate goal?

Well, $3000 is in Microsoft's HoloLens price range. I'm sure MS is not selling millions of their devices but there is a market. I can't image Apple not building a device at least equal to MS. 

Is the HoloLens a flop?

If ChatGPT had generated the comments, they would have been more intelligent.

If Apple wants to sell the device, a killer app is required and a five year interest free loan payment offer.

But further, I don't know the role the other execs have. They likely will have some feedback which would inform the others. 

Tho too late if the release is at WWDC, I can see their respective teams getting a shot at developing for this device.
