  • Peloton cuts Apple Watch Fitness support back to just the cycling class

Peloton is for people with plenty of money or for gyms. So are Apple watches.

Methinks Peloton expects users to opt in for a lock-in to their competing Apple Watch product. Highly doubt it.

  • Biden Administration calls chip shortage a 'national security issue'

White House Summit my ass. There’s nothing he can do about it. Follow the money. China has our gonads in their hands. They could shut down our entire military industrial operations if they wanted to... overnight. Where do we get the metals to build our aircraft, like chromium, titanium? Where do we get our rare earth metals for all the fancy technologies we have?  Environmentalists have seen to it that we no longer mine those minerals on our soil. And of course it’s cheaper anyway to buy them from China.
The US companies went to China to avoid creating the infrastructure in the US to produce the chips, or giving a living wage to Americans. The US companies went to China to exploit the Chinese. The Chinese, unlike most other countries, wouldn't allow the US to exploit them. The Chinese drove the bargain: You want us to build your products, you'll have to help build our infrastructure to do it.

The Chinese aren't stupid. The US on the other hand....

Meanwhile, the White House will increase business taxes on these industries so they are no longer competitive with other non-US operations. Go figure.
It doesn't matter what the tax rate on corporations is. The reason Amazon and others don't pay taxes is not the tax rate but the under the cover write-offs.

I guess we’ll have to wait for these dinosaurs to die off before we start getting some technologically savvy people in congress.

And why does no one mention that everywhere else in American society you are retired or forced to retire by the time you’re 70? American politics looks like an archeologist’s wet dream.
The dumbest in Congress are below 70, some far below 70 -- if measuring by age -- close to 70 if measuring by IQ.

  • Eddy Cue joining board of Tom Brady's NFT platform

At some point, hopefully soon, Bitcoin, this NFT and all these other fake investment tools will be prosecuted as old fashion pyramid schemes.

They're Enron and the credit default swaps from 2008 rolled into one. The difference is this scam is not even hiding in fancy accounting practices -- it's out in the open. It was bad enough that the crooks got bailed out with my tax dollars.
