    I wasn’t that surprised about Iran, they don’t seem to have the medical infrastructure to deal with this.  Italy is a small surprise, but they probably have an aging population (who are particularly vulnerable). 

    People are responding to the President’s words that the virus is a hoax.  I see them repeating it all over social media.  I hope the people in charge are saying one thing, but preparing like mad behind the scenes...

    I haven’t purchased a mask yet, but every time someone says hoax my buy finger gets twitchy.
    The occurrence of Covid19 virus has nothing to do with medical infrastructure. The rapidity of its spread has to do with the still generally unknown properties of the virus itself and globalization.

    Globalization is big.  SARS took 120 days to spread to the extent it did, and that time allowed responses to be developed. For Covid19, that spread was 10 days, 30 days to become global.

    If Apple doesn't want to give out a higher dividend then why don't they acquire a cloud computing business since Wall Street claims the CLOUD has unlimited growth potential and they endlessly praise every company that has a cloud service such as Alphabet, Microsoft, and Amazon. Those companies get such fat P/Es based on their cloud services while Apple only gets criticism about falling iPhone sales.
    I agree. From a stockholder's perspective, all I get from higher stock prices is a more impressive looking portfolio -- which until the stock is sold -- has zero actual value. Dividends are in my pocket, and after taxes, I get to take that money and buy more stock -- Apple's or another company. I can't do anything with merely high stock prices.

    Looks like commenters failed to read the article. Epic says they need 12 months to plan, 36 months to implement. 

    Given we're talking about health care records, it would probably be best to plan for security and implement correctly.

    How many would like their health care records handled like the Iowa caucus fiasco?

    It would help if you took the effort to actually read the article. This guy allegedly not only created his company while still working at Apple (that would be OK), but did so while utilizing Apple's time and resources. That is a breach of his employment obligations.
    Using Apple resources does not automatically result in breach of employment contract. All employees violate a strict interpretation of that contract. The issue is whether such personal use is de minimus -- minor, insignificant.
