Apple's iOS 14 again rumored to support all devices compatible with iOS 13
Keep in mind a ton of iPhone 6S owners got their batteries replaced for cheap and the A9 is a beefy processor. I was using an iPad Pro with an A9 for years and JUST upgraded. My dad is using it now and it’s still very zippy. Fact is there’s no reason to shove people’s devices off your platform if you don’t need to, especially during a pandemic. If somebody has a 6S that is working you want to let them keep using it until they break it, makes them more likely to buy another Apple device when they need a replacement. -
Just as it ends, 'Defending Jacob' looks like the most popular Apple TV+ show
Sadly their best show is a limited series. I kind of wonder if they’re going to bring it back for a rushed awkward season 2 where Jacob gets accused of another crime. Also, no he didn’t do it, Apple wouldn’t have allowed Jacob to have an iPhone if he was the villain. Pats and the other kid who testified against him were the villains, hence they had Android phones. This was the best show on ATV+. Next best is probably Dickinson or Home Before Dark (haven’t seen that one but mom said she loved it.) Dickinson is great once you know what it wants to be (nothing you’ve seen before.)
See is kinda meh, finally finished it. Might watch season 2. But Defending Jacob was great aside from the last episode which had really strange pacing. -
Review: 2020 iPad Pro is more about future software than the hardware gains today
If I would have known that the processor wasn't a big bump over the A12X then I probably wouldn't have pulled the cord and gotten this one. On the other hand I was in isolation and just wanted a new Apple device to make me happy. Also the big 6 gig RAM allotment allows for more layers in Procreate which was really the major limitation that I was running into with my 9.7 inch Pro. So in the end it's a good upgrade. Part of me still wishes I'd gotten the 2018 model since I'd have had a newer beefier iPad Pro for longer and I doubt that Apple is going to support this model any longer than they support the 2018 model. But whatever... it's fine. -

Part of me wishes I'd upgraded to the 2018 model back when it came out. I knew it was a good buy then but I didn't because I'd just gotten laid off. I bought this model HOPING that it was a big improvement under the hood, and it isn't. However I've been drawing in Procreate with it and the number of layers I can have moving from 2 gigs on my 9.7 inch Pro to 6 gigs on this new one is staggering. I was really constrained by my old one. So I think the plan is to keep this one, and upgrade to the next one that has a big processor upgrade and try and sell this one without taking a bath on it. -
2020 iPad Pro models feature 6GB of RAM, U1 chip across the board
Well that's good to hear since I already ordered mine! The only thing that my 9.7 inch iPad Pro needed really was more RAM. Part of me is bummed about the lack of A13, but if I remember from the presentation the A13 was really geared more toward power efficiency for phones they didn't get a massive performance boost out of it. I'm just really hoping this doesn't turn out to be some BS update where they release another one in the fall with an A14X that blows this one out of the water.
