  • Apple TV+ cancels 'The Afterparty' after two seasons

Honestly, the first season was absolutely awesome. The second one though, I feel like not having Yasper really brought down the appeal of the show. I wish they could have brought him back.

I’ve watched a few episodes of the new one but I just don’t feel like it has the same magic as season 1.

  • Sketchy rumor claims iPad mini might still arrive in 2023

I was actually expecting to buy an Air or a base iPad this fall as I sold (at a heavy discount) my iPad to a friend who wanted to get one for his daughter to use.

I’d love to see them release an M2 Air with Face ID (if the Pros go OLED in the next version it would make sense to bring Face ID to the Air.)

  • Cook justifies Apple's advertising on X as a 'town square' for the Internet

Tim is a gay man who survived growing up in the south. If you expect him to stick his neck out, don’t. His approach to things is to try and stay above the fray and avoid noticing the consequences of doing nothing.

I suspect in a few decades people will look back at Apple’s continued funding of Twitter the same way we look at businesses who did business with Hitler.

But he won’t be CEO anymore when society truly realizes the cost of continually caving to rich douche bags.

  • Spotify speaks out against Apple's 30% commission fee -- again

Spotify is literally the largest streaming music platform despite fact that all they really bring to the market themselves is an exclusive deal to help Joe Rogan spread misinformation. I could not possibly care less about their concerns.

  • Unity caves, is reconsidering new fee structure after developer revolt

Honestly, part of me loved the idea of having to pay on a per install basis but I can get why devs would hate it.

This could have decimated the crappy freemium game market and actually encouraged developers to charge for good games rather than trying to dupe users into becoming addicts.

That said it obviously should be per license not per download or install.

Really what we need are laws banning in app purchases for more slot pulls etc. when you pay additional money in a game it should at least be for cosmetics or tools, or levels or something. You shouldn’t be allowed to sell people in game consumables. It’s just ridiculous.
