  • US will not tolerate EU fine against Apple, says White House

Whitehouse is right here IMO.  Unless Epic, Nintendo, and third party app stores for iOS all reduce their own commissions to developers to zero as well, Pres. Trump has full right to raise EU tariffs to the amount to recover any illegal fines to US companies.

It is not fair that all other platform vendors can charge a platform fee commission while Apple is not allowed to do same to recover costs of development, support, and marketing.  Core platform licensing fees can be negotiated to be on similar or even slightly lower than that of other platform vendors but it can not be zero.

  • Trade war escalations between Trump and China to significantly impact Apple

Pres. Trump will not allow iPhones sticker price to go up significantly.  He would likely not want to be seen as the President who did that and ruined a great American company.  He will likely work something out with Tim Apple, ex. delay tariffs another 90 days or whatever it takes for them to expand production elsewhere out of China.

  • The EU is betraying iPhone users and weakening privacy for political gain

On the iPhone, when you save email drafts such as web article links you want to share with others at a later time, it gets saved to the Mail app's Drafts folder on your iPhone.  It does not seem to get synched to the Drafts folder on my Mac.  So iPhone Mirroring is a very useful app for me.  I can find all the saved email drafts on my Mac and finish the email there.  It's too bad EU users will not get iPhone Mirroring.
