Maybe because the amount of RAM in a phone does not really matter to anyone but spec junkies that like to claim that a phone with 8GB of RAM is better than a phone with 4 or 6GB of RAM, which is patently false.  The amount of RAM in a MacBook Pro IS needed depending on what you are going to use it for.

I'm to busy rolling on the floor to read this now.    DED spends years saying apple shouldn't lower prices on their phones and now he flips his tune.   I really believe that this was written up before the unveiling and he just copied and pasted and then posted this editorial with the $650 price point.    I think he's just like PRAVDA arguing for what ever the Communist party says NOW ignoring what they wrote the week before.    LMAO.   Now I am glad that Apple responded and lowered prices $50 (not the pre-imagined $100) .    

I'm looking forward to the tear-down video from iFixit.    I'll buy the iPhone when the QualComm chip is back in it.  Hopefully this year, maybe next at the latest.    I expect when the QualComm chip is back in it DED will  pull another 180 and write a pro QC article.

And that camera design is based on what’s needed to best make the camera system work. It’s why you’re going to see something similar from Google when they announce their new phones. Of course Google’s look like they were just bolted on.

Its so pathetic and funny to see this. When Huawei launched a triple camera phone everyone was laughing at it. And now Apple puts one out and it's the best thing ever happened to a phone. BTW looking from the design angle on triple camera I think Huawei has made it looking much batter than Apple:
