Epic calls Apple's 'Fortnite' & developer tool block 'overbroad retaliation'
Epic wanted its own App Store to sell to gamers directly, but did not want to build its own console or build its own phone. Epic did not have problems with PlayStation, XBox, or Switch, but have problem with Apple and Google.
It's nothing but a publicity stunt for Epic. It could learn something from Amazon: Amazon negotiated a deal to sell Apple TV in exchange to have Prime Video app in App Store that competes with Apple TV+. -

Epic Games CEO criticizes Apple's App Store policies in interview
The biggest advantage of Apple's App Store is that it simplify process all around, not just the purchasing process. Users can pretty much trust everything in the app store without worry about fraud or scammers. Before App Store, we spend a lot more time research about the app developer and the payment system and worry about if it was a legitimate company or not. The old ways favor large developers and large companies.I remember with Microsoft's "Open" platform, when the software does not work, Microsoft, hardware companies, and application companies all point fingers at each other. As an app developer at the time, we often had to support customers who had viruses or hardware problems because the customers don't care who's fault it was, they just wanted the apps to work. -
Luxshare iPhone factory purchase is bad news for Foxconn, Pegatron
My opinion is that technically Foxconn, Pegatron, and Wistron are all public Taiwanese companies. China CCP in recent years have favored "Chinese" companies with strong ties with the government and do not allow Taiwanese companies to "leave". So I suspect that Taiwanese companies sold factories to Chinese companies, take the money and setting up factories in other countries over time to get around restrictive Chinese policies. -
Apple Silicon Mac mini dev kit looks like a desktop iPad Pro
So basically the new MBP will be an iPad without touchscreen with build-in keyboard and more ports.
Memory, storage and would be all packed on a few large chips on a single small motherboard.
It will be thin, light, with battery lasts a whole week.
If Apple feels more adventurous, maybe a modular Mac pro with Lego like expansion boxes and accessories.
