While the BBC employs a lot of young educated urbanites, who definitely lean left, the leadership of the BBC is made up of Conservative supporters, failed political candidates and donors. The cross pollination has gone the other with senior BBC journalists joining the staff of the Conservatives.

Sadly, the current UK government is packed with ideologues who are completely detached from reality.

The writers are asking for an extra $75mil a year. Bob Iger, head of Disney, earned $45mil in 2021.

Just a bit of a clarification: Microsoft did not buy Nokia. Microsoft bought Nokia's handset division. Nokia still exists as an independent company and has two main businesses these days: network equipment and licensing.

(To make things more confusing, the Nokia brand has been licensed out to another company that now sells Nokia-branded smartphones) 

It's been interesting watching PC gaming news recently. A lot of the big multi-platform release have suffered from terrible performance on PC, because the games have been designed for a unified memory architecture which PCs don't have. Somewhat ironically, it should be much easier to port console games to Mac than Windows in the near future.
