Apple to lower iPhone pricing in key markets after sluggish December quarter
Kumar.neven said:Start of the end for Apple!
Remember how Nokia reacted to downfall in sales but eventually it didn’t work?
Don't get me wrong. I'm not claiming that things are going well for Apple. The current lack of true innovation (sorry Tim) combined with insane pricing ideas (sorry Tim) certainly is a recipe for disaster.
However, Apple has a very strong foothold with iOS in the enterprise now. That too won't carry them forever, but they have time to make adjustments. No need to dramatize things.
The problem I see is that they didn't do price adjustments preemptively. Once a company has the public image of selling overpriced products, it's difficult to shake that. That will take time and damage to Apple's reputation has been done, I fear. -
Apple lays off more than 200 employees from 'Project Titan' autonomous vehicle team
Maybe they finally accepted that building a car is a bit more complex... than glueing a pice of gorilla glass onto an aluminum case.
Or they realized that leading car manufacturers update their cars regularly... what do you mean, we can’t sell the 2020 model unchanged and for the same price until 2028??

Cook talks slumping iPhone sales in interview, to reportedly hold 'all-hands' meeting with...
I don't agree with the end-of-the-world tone of some of the posts. That's just dramatizing for attention.
I do notice however, that I'm having a tougher time defending Apple's product prices. In discussions with friends I mostly share my outrage about them. I think twice about buying something and often don't do it, because I can't "justify it". That's a big change for a 30+ year loyal Apple-fan-boy.
From my perspective, it's about time Apple's hits a rough patch. It can only benefit us, it's customers. They've clearly gone too far. Innovation & expensive is ok. Greed is not. A correction is very much needed. If they are stubborn about it, the market will do the work for them.
It's like they are too concerned with themselves (as a company). Reminds me of good old Rome. Building palaces right up to the fall. -
