Why Tesla can get by without CarPlay but other car makers can't
The lack of CarPlay is why my next vehicle definitely won't be a GM, though to be honest GM hasn't been my manufacturer of choice in decades. The extraordinarily uneven behavior of Elon Musk is why my next vehicle definitely won't be a Tesla — which is a huge change from just a few years back, when I was likely to choose Tesla. I know there are millions of customers out there, but I cannot fathom why companies are driving any segment of customers away — that seems like the opposite of good business. -
TSMC is continuing to complain about 'unacceptable' US chip plant terms
DAalseth said:Geez, what a bunch of whiners. They knew what things looked like going in. Maybe they thought if they stamped their foot and cried enough that the government would fold like the State of Wisconsin did. Dudes, you sighed a contract, hold up your end or pay the penalty. You don’t want to be double taxed? Talk to the government of Taiwan.
As far as their bi*ching about how Americans don’t work hard enough. We may not work as hard as you’d like but you see your employees as replaceable, disposable pieces that can be used up and thrown away. In the west we put a higher value on the welfare of our fellow citizens. Once again you knew this going in, so shut up or GTFO. -
AirTag leads to confrontation & stolen e-bike return in California
This is also the advice from police up here in Canada, but at least here there's a radically lower chance of getting shot recovering goods. I would also go to get my stolen item back, but if you never involve the police then you have to be aware that the thief will just steal someone else's stuff, and keep doing that. Whatever stops the thief from continuing to steal stuff is the best course of action — that's more important than your one thing.
