Apple's strong Q3 results marred by 10 percent hit in China from iPhone competition
I'm still an iPhone owner, but I'm hanging on to it longer, due to price. I can only imagine in China price being even more of an issue. Let's be honest, there's only so far you can go in market share at these prices. Apple will probably make the 7 available there cheaper, after 7s and 8 are released, which is probably the best idea. So, they'll go more expensive (8 or X) and less expensive (7), with 7s in the middle. -

Apple partner Wistron says 'iPhone 7s Plus' will include wireless charging, improved water...

Still needs to be in the proximity of the charger. If anything, it's more limiting, because you don't have the cable which you can use to move the phone around while charging.
Magnets are cool. We charge our watches by putting them on a magnet. We charge our MacBooks by snapping on a magnetic connector. So of course we want iPhones and iPads to charge with magnets. It's destiny. They just need to stop calling it "wireless."
