  • New iMac, iPad Pro, Apple TV 4K in Apple Stores worldwide on Friday

that has to be very limited availability in-store for the 12.9-inch iPadPro.  Like maybe 1.

  • iPad Pro order arrives earlier than expected May 21 street date

Only low capacity iPad Pros. Not 1TB or 2TB models. I don’t expect them to arrive until July for most customers who ordered them after the first day.
I ordered mine on 5/13/21 and while my original estimate was July 8-21, i just got an update that says the estimate is Jun 23-July 8.  This is a 1 TB device.  To replace my slightly aging 2007 17-inch MBP.

  • Compared: 2021 iPad Pro vs 2020 iPad Pro and 2018 iPad Pro

One thing you left out of this article is that while the price difference between the 2020 and 2021 at the 128/256/512 config is $100, that rises to $300 at the 1TB config.  I realize there is more ram 16GB vs. 8GB in the 1 TB vs. the smaller storage configs, but does this kind of RAM really cost $200 to double?  How much of a performance increase does the 1TB have over the 512GB model?  Is the 16GB necessary for the extra storage space for caching or something?

I was seriously considering the 1TB model until I saw the price discrepancy. Now I want to know what I'm getting for that extra $200, the cheapskate that I am.

  • Apple unveils new 12.9-inch iPad Pro with mini LED Liquid Retina XDR display

The only difference between the 128/256/512GB  and 1/2 TB configs (other than the storage) is the 16GB RAM in the 1/2 TB configs.  But comparing the prices to the 2020 iPadsPro, the 128/256/512GB models are $100 more, but the 1TB 2021 model is $300 more.  Are 8GB RAM sticks that expensive these days?

    Just complaining....

  • iPhone 12 mini has 2,227 mAh battery, iPhone 12 has 2,815 mAh battery

I’m going to upgrade to 12 mini from SE 1st gen which has 1624 mAh battery, so 2227 mAh battery seems generous.
You aren't the only one.  I've been hoping for a full-featured small phone since the "SE2" came out.  I don't want a phablet in my pocket, I want a compact powerhouse that can do everything the bigger sibling phones can do.  They can call it mini, they can call it whatever they want.  I've got phone-marks etched into my jeans since the iPhone 5 then SE1 at this size and I'll be damned if I'm changing those marks anytime soon.  Maybe I have trump hands, but the ability to reach the entire screen one handed with my thumb is priceless.  It is blasphemy to have to put your coffee down to access the screen with two hands.  Thanks Apple for actually listening to us for once!
