Apple an 'antifragile monopoly,' more secure than critics believe, analyst claims
avon b7 said:StrangeDays said:avon b7 said:muadibe said:Good observations. One point: ".. but these technologies have already been implemented in some Android phones." And what new 'innovations' have the Android manufactures implemented since OLED screens and wireless charging? Since Apple is apparently always behind, surely there are several other new 'innovations' that Apple must be behind on.
Fingerprint Scanner Gestures?
AI for phone optimization?
And I don't even know what AI phone optimization means. I'm sure it's mind blowing, tho.
As for AI optimization:

determening what app you're going to use based on time and location, and backround app refreshing, done.
System ram and cpu, why do you think they use a micro kernel?
Only android will benefet from this.

FCC filing reveals Apple still working on Apple TV-shaped NFC, Bluetooth LE device
cali said:What about a wireless Apple TV?
Would that be wild or what? Plug a small transmitter into the outlet and the Apple TV both receives and transmits electricity. And PLEASE wireless HDMI.
Apple should stop being wusses and release a fully loaded $300 Apple TV with a loaded Siri Remote.
ideas?
-M Chip in Remote for precise motion control.
-Put the Kinect team to work(I'm sure they are)
-A-Gaming chip with graphics that pass iPad capability
-Taptic Engine(Solid state Remote)
-3D Touch
-Open Lightning port to 3rd parties for peripherals etc -
Peter Thiel says 'age of Apple' at its end
The_Martini_Cat said:Sure, I've seen so little innovation since my 5S, I don't need to get a 7. Except for the better processor (we can give Apple credit for the processor, Mr T), camera that takes a tiny little movie before and after the photo, waterproof-ness, better-color screen, force touch screen, secure enclave for Apple Pay which somehow works at all the stores where I shop, there really has been no innovation in the last couple years. Naturally I would expect the next couple years to be the same, so, there's no reason not to get an iPhone 7 except for the minor detail that the 5S is still working just great. BTW, love that little Buzz Feed News app, Mr. T.
Connecting to other products you have connected is nothing special, neither is siri control or the extra features it has.
yeah, nothing innovative. -
CEO Tim Cook's compensation cut by $1.5M following Apple's 2016 decline in sales

No, Apple did not switch to USB-C on its new MacBook Pros to profit from dongle & adapter sales
Had apple shipped a usb C cable with the iPhone, these same people will say that they now need an adapter to connected to usb A only computers.
Also, apple is not the only seller of adapters, ya know.
common sense will tell you as much,, but I have seen many people who simply never think.
EG, mac rumors.
