    $5Million for a design?   $300,000 for a piece of clear glass?
    Apple needs to get fully over its design supercedes function obsession.  

    It did gain some separation from its obsession with thin and light Macs at the expense of functionality.  But it needs to do the same for its stores.  They are centers for customers to do their research, obtain education, get quality service and, oh yeh, buy products.  But NO customer goes to an Apple store to see the pretty glass front.

    Yes, image matters.  But, as Porsche has proven:   "Form [needs to] follow function"

    As always, it's the software and ecosystem that do the work.
    Apple needs to let them catch-up to the M1 before making M2, M3, M4, etc... super chips.  Otherwise, with the exception of a few power users, their speed and power will be wasted.

    I am tired of one-sided, fear & outrage inducing stories that only report those facts that support its goals and agenda.  It's essentially "lying by telling part of the truth".

    But regardless, Apple has already been smeared by that technique and, in many people's minds, their AirTag will remain the epitome of evil.

    Weirdly, for a company that started out trying to challenge IBM, they ended up adopting some of the stuff that made that a great company.

    I ran financial systems for multiple companies on IBM mainframes.  And, I built a walled garden around them so only I could change how they worked.  The result was:  a set of rock solid, bullet proof systems that were not only tightly integrated but worked well with each other.

    I got complaints from the workers of those systems -- but never, ever from their bosses.  The bosses only wanted the checks to go out on time -- and that's what they got.

    Apple has established a similar situation:  a set of rock solid, bullet proof systems that work well together and: together are stronger than any of them are separately.   But, the lower level workers complain that they can't tinker with it.

    GHW Bush crashes economy.   Clinton restores it to health
    GW Bush crashes the economy.   Obama restores it to health
    Trump crashes the economy.   Biden restores it to health

    I see pattern. Biden restored economy so inflation went up. Under Trump, economy was just fine with under 2% inflation before Biden took over. Do google for facts or go check facts (https://www.usinflationcalculator.com/inflation/historical-inflation-rates/).

    Typical!   You attack your enemy on any pretext -- no matter how weak it is.
    The U.S. grew at its fastest rate in many decades and jobs have been fully restored -- and the Fed is in the process restoring things to normal.   But still, you whine.

    Why?   Because, when you have nothing of value to offer all you can do is try to make the other side look worse than you.
