11-Inch white Magic Keyboard long-term review: the perfect writing tool?
It seems that the single biggest (only?) drawback is the size of the trackpad & keyboard -- and possibly the limited iPad OS.But, as the article points out: that's a function of tying it to its iPad.So yes, both the keyboard and trackpad are definitely cramped. But that is the price one pays for a highly portable 2 in 1 device. If your use requires only a laptop, then buy a laptop. If your use requires only a tablet, then just buy a tabletIf your use requires both a laptop and a tablet, then buy a 2 in 1 device such as the iPad Pro and Magic Keyboard. (Or spend a LOT more to buy both a tablet and laptop along with a bigger bag to lug both around)It isn't rocket science.I am grateful that we have the choice. -
Google Maps, Apple Maps, and smartphones are at the forefront of modern war

While there is no evidence that Apple is involved (I doubt ApplePay/Cash works there) Venmo and Paypal are impacted. It illustrates the impact of the tech industry on banking systems.Ejecting Russia from the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) network could cripple Russia’s ability to trade with most of the world and deal a heavy blow to its economy.

Germany and Hungary are now the only holdouts...
Hopefully not. FInancial leverage is our last and best weapon against other countries.Swift only accounts for 50% of transactions now. If we start using it as a weapon Ukraine, Russia and others will simply use other existing systems and likely develop new ones. That will hurt us and weaken us in the long run.
Apologize to everyone here, and do penance.
Russia is fucked. Your would know that if you get your head out of your ass. FFS, Russia asked Kasakhstan for troops, and they said no, and Georgia is protesting the invasion. Ukraine still stands after just a few days of brilliant defense, while Russia is falling further and further behind on its invasion plan. God forbid if the West could intervene on the battlefield; it would be like clubbing baby seals.
But thanks, Putin, for bringing everyone together against Russia, but you still have Assad firmly in his corner.
LOL!
You have been such a fucking dipshit around here, so you might want to take a long break for meditation, or medication, if that works for you..
LOL... So you think not shooting ourselves in the foot is "advocating for Russia". Got it.

Apple considers dropping face mask mandate for Apple Store staff
LeoMC said:teejay2012 said:Without masks, there will be no store policy to physically distance. 'If' I go into a store, I will wear a mask and treat those without masks like I do people with bad breath by politely backing away from them. No doubt some will be offended but my health is more important than their feelings.
No, a mask, especially a good one, is fine.

Apple shares second trailer for limited series 'WeCrashed'
This sounds really interesting.I've heard much about WeWork -- but never much about what it was or how it was built or structured. But too, it sounds almost like a rewrite of the movie of how Steve and Steve built Apple -- including the "change everything" concept (except, the ending seems to be a bit different). Combine this with the Theranos debacle and you see how both fortunate and talented the Steve's were. -
