  • Apple researching all-glass iPhone with wraparound touchscreen

    Researching. Not putting into production.

Samsung however seems to made up of nothing but clueless blog trolls....because they come to the same wrong conclusions and will probably have this product ready to go next month.

  • 'AirPods Pro Lite' allegedly very close to production

I just don't get the purpose of this product?  I was one of the people that couldn't wear the original style Airpods because they just didn't work for my ears.  I waited years for the canal style that is currently the pro form factor.

I wasn't waiting for noise cancellation or transparency mode I was waiting for Airpods that fit..so introducing this new lite version at a lower price point is kind of frustrating if it's true.  I am sure I am not the only person that would feel this way if these are actually announced and released?   I LOVE my Pros, and I love Santa for getting them for me.. B) but this just doesn't sit right with me if true..

....what? You absolutely get the purpose of it. You JUST described yourself as literally the customer for it.

All you wanted was in-ear style fit. You didn't care about the other features of it that drive the prices up. What you wanted was the cheaper version of AirPods Pro without the noise cancellation.

"Doesn't sit right with me"...you mean the fact that Apple releases the high end model first, and then the low end model later, like they do with almost every single product? Get over it.

  • HomePod gains smart speaker marketshare in Q4, still lags far behind front runners

HomePod is a total failure and disaster! The speaker itself sounds great... however Siri has been lobotomized. Amazon Alexa is far superior. For an apple product it's completely unacceptable. It's clear  Apple is only focusing on Wallstreet, and that means shafting all of you. iPad/iphone is what apple has the lead in, and THAT is where all their attention, money, and resources go. Quite sad. The only thing apple has going for it is that they suck less than the rest. Truth.
Holy hyperbole, batman. It’s not a failure if it’s generating revenue. It’s not a disaster if people are happy with them. We have two and think they’re great. I use Siri on it for home automation, music sometimes, and basic requests.

And the notion that Apple is a company that caters to Wall Street is also absurd. You clearly don’t follow Apple very much.
The HomePod is less useful than a Sonos One which can be had for around $169 on sale. The sound quality is the same. The HomePod is a complete waste and a non-starter, even if an all-Apple household. The only people who have HomePod, or multiple HomePod, are people who simply don't know what else exists beyond Apple.

Foldable screens like this look cool and all, but do they solve an actual problem?
They don't look cool, they look broken. I mean the things already looks broken before you even start using it. It just has built-in cringe. That's on top of the fact that it is guaranteed to break within minutes of actually using it.

Considering the billions of smartphones in use by people all over the world....no one is complaining about not being able to fold it in half.
The crease is an implementation problem, not something inherent to the idea of a foldable screen. The idea, if we could implement it perfectly, would be cool, but would it be useful? That's what I'm talking about.

If we didn't have to deal with the limitations of batteries, a device which folds like this could actually be useful. As it is, the requisite battery volume (admittedly, an implementation detail, but one not directly related to a folding screen) gives the device really unwieldy proportions, even with an idealized screen.
The allegedly usefulness is pitiful in comparison to the engineering challenges and compromises to get there.

Another way of saying that is: It is not worth doing.
