How to use robotic vacuums with Apple Home & Siri
So it looks like there’s not as much functionality in the Home app as there is in the manufacturers app, aside from adding a cleaning run to a scene/automation. If i wanted the vacuum to run every time i left the house, that would be perfect. My Shark AV2510 has a robust app that allows me to pick individual rooms, cleaning strength and schedule a time/day to clean. So im wondering why would i go through the hassle of setting up my vacuum in the Home app, just to have the same functionality as the Shark app already on my phone? I rarely get into the actual Home app, as everything I have set up can be controlled with a voice command (lights, door lock, fan), so I’d love to just be able to voice command the vacuum…but it sounds like that’s not possible. Or am I misunderstanding? -
Illinois will implement digital IDs and driver's licenses for Apple Wallet in 2025
We’ve had them in Arizona since the beginning, or very near the beginning, and the only place I’ve ever been able to use it is the airport. Which is nice, but certainly not life changing because I still carry my physical card with me or my passport when I travel. I think getting to the point where we no longer need to carry a wallet and keys is further off than we think. -

Stellantis denies hiring Apple's Luca Maestri to solve its massive problems
tht said:If the strategy isn't developing & manufacturing batteries and transitioning to EVs as fast as possible, all they are doing is fighting for a part of an increasingly smaller pie, and eventual death. Feels like the game is already over with Chinese battery and EV prices hitting some pretty impressive low prices this year though.
A wartime-like mobilization of battery manufacturing and development is needed by all the incumbents to catch up.
Really wish Apple made an EV. -
Apple designers shed light on the new iPhone 16 Camera Control button
