  • If you want blue iMessage bubbles that much, buy an iPhone

What a bunch of loosers outside the US, not caring about blue bubbles. Blue bubbles are Da Bomb.

So, I must be one of those loosers. About one in 100 messages I receive are with iMessage (and 90% of them are just plain old silly SMS messages, for instance for 2FA). For messaging I use WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal and even Google Chat. And good ol’ email.

If I’d ask my daughter (14yo) what color iMessages are in, she won’t know. She’ll probably even ask “what’s iMessage?” even though she has been using it for years. The messages app used is just not relevant for her. Where your pals can be reached is, no matter the color of whatever bubble.

Easy fix: allow the bubble color to be configurable.

  • Best laser printers for Mac in 2023: revolutionize your printing experience

Glad I switched back to inkjet from laser. I now have an Epson Inkjet 3000-series EcoTank printer. The ink-bottles aren't expensive and it even came with two sets of bottles. The teenage kid in the house, who loves printing, didn't manage to empty the first set in 1,5 years: they're halfway empty now.  Extrapolating that would mean the printer came with 6 years of ink included - this is a bargain. What a contrast to my former inkjet printers with those expensive ink cartridges and even my color laser printer with those expensive toner cartridges. And as a bonus a document feeder for scanning. Only drawback: one has to print at least one color page once in two weeks. With that teenager in the house that's not an issue.

  • AirPods are no longer cool, claim people who can't afford them

Airpods cool? No, they still look like toothbrushes hanging out of your ear. Silly but you're not a moron anymore as many people have similar stuff hanging out of their ears.

But, while on the go I bring my Airpods in my pocket leaving me without tangling cables and without (too much) stress when I need to put in my headphones at some incoming call. I do not walk around with a full blown headphone on my head. That does make you look like kinda sad (besides, it can be pretty dangerous).

So, yes, I do love my Airpods and I use them a lot... for phonecalls, facetime, skype and google talk. For that the Airpod does a good job. For music? Not really. It's not that bad but I do prefer my Beoplay headphones.

  • Apple issues macOS High Sierra update to fix password-less root vulnerability

    MacPro said:
That was fast!  Well done Apple.
No, it was not. Apple refuses to read their own users forums. If they would have read them, they'd known about this severe bug at least two weeks ago, as you can read here: https://forums.developer.apple.com/thread/79235 Just browse to november 13th, and read the post written by chethan177. Their excuse that they only got to know about this issue this Tuesday afternoon is just lame IMHO.
