  • Apple stock bloodbath continues after China applies retaliatory tariffs

And how often was Obama on the golf course?
Obama played golf 333 times during his 8 years, which is more than Trump. Trump's golf tally is harder to count, because one of his homes is on a golf course, and he's not always playing golf when he's at that home.
We know how much Obama played golf because the administration was transparent. We don't don show much Trump paid golf because the administration is not transparent. Also, in his first term he spent 102 million on golf. At the time was just 12 million under what Obama spent on golf for his two terms. So far in this term he has spend another 18 million. So he may or may not have played as much golf as Obama but he has spent more on golf and the personally profits from the money the government spends on his golfing. But he is totally about trying to cut government spending.
Oh, he’s played way more golf than Obama.

Isn't it a lot better that your presidents play as much golf as possible - at least they are only messing up the green rather than the whole world
Just FYI - As far as I recollect, @Spheric is from Europe, not USA. @22july2013 is from Canada (for sure) and @Stabitha_Christie is from USA (I am assuming based on post history) . So you have to be careful in making assumptions while posting in a forum like AppleInsider.

  • Apple will take a $33 billion hit to its bottom line because of Trump tariffs

Another money grab from the US. Apple should stop doing business there.
I know this is a sarcastic post, but @22july2023 would agree with this wholeheartedly  . He has been asking for Apple to pull out of ALL the major markets in the planet earth for more than 5 years but Apple is just not listening to him for some unknown reason.

  • Apple shares hammered after Trump tariff announcement

Now that the tariffs are in place and are clamping down on immigration I am sure we should see companies starting production in the US in the coming days if not hours. /s
    I saw your /s…

The US is only 4.22% of the world's population, Building production capacity and training people in the US would take decades. Most companies will try to weather the Trump term and hope things return to normal.

The rest of the world will likely look at the 95.78% of the world's population and find our own way.
There are lies, damn lies and then statistics. This 4.22% number is one of those. USA is the wealthiest country in the world. So even though the population is only 4.22% of the world, but its economy is much more significant 26% of the world economy. So, no, rest of the world cannot ignore what is happening in USA. Rest of world is also impacted by what is happening in USA. I agree with your other point though.

  • Apple doesn't appear to have plans to revive the iPhone mini

I'll be rocking the 13 mini until it stops working then.  And when it does, if Apple aren't selling a reasonably sized phone I'll probably be looking elsewhere for someone that does.
For last 5 years, ONLY Apple is selling small size phones. The ~2000+ android phones which launched in last 5 years do NOT have even a single usable phone with a size similar to iPhone 13 mini. So, you will have to consider feature phones if not Apple's iPhones.

Asus XenPhone 9 or 10 are small and fast enough for those who don’t mind dipping droid scanners into their life
Nope. iPhone 16 is just 1mm taller and 3.5mm wider. Compare Apple iPhone 16 vs. Asus Zenfone 10 vs. Apple iPhone 13 mini - GSMArena.com For that marginal reduction in dimensions, switching to Android is NOT going to cut it for iOS users. They would be better off buying iPhone 16.
