  • Trump confirms he reduced tariffs to help Tim Cook

Hey Tim, how does it feel to have a fascist fish hook in your butt?
How is this post still up?  If there is going to be moderation, it’s obvious it only applies to certain viewpoints. Wow.
I agree with you on this post. You have to click "Flag this" option against the post, for a moderator to take a look at it. I just did it. I am fairly confident that it would be taken out.

  • Trump's 104% tariff against imports from China goes live

... certainly no one in their right mind four weeks ago would have believed, that the man in the White House would be as stupid as he’s proven to be. ...
I feel comfortable that I'm in my right mind and four weeks, four months, four years ago, and even further back, I knew that this man was as stupid as he's proven to be. In fact, he's probably even more stupid than he's "proven to be." Donald Trump is profoundly stupid. As a con man, he's proven to be an idiot savant, but, first and foremost, he's always been an idiot.
How can a successful con-man be an idiot? If a con-man is an idiot, he cannot succeed even at a basic level, forget about becoming the President of the wealthiest country in the world. May be, there is something else going on behind the scenes as someone else alluded to in this forum - Stock market manipulation at a large scale to get him and few of his friends super-rich in a short period of time. It is a conspiracy theory, but nothing else makes sense to intrepret what is going on.

  • Apple shares hammered after Trump tariff announcement

Now that the tariffs are in place and are clamping down on immigration I am sure we should see companies starting production in the US in the coming days if not hours. /s
    I saw your /s…

The US is only 4.22% of the world's population, Building production capacity and training people in the US would take decades. Most companies will try to weather the Trump term and hope things return to normal.

The rest of the world will likely look at the 95.78% of the world's population and find our own way.
There are lies, damn lies and then statistics. This 4.22% number is one of those. USA is the wealthiest country in the world. So even though the population is only 4.22% of the world, but its economy is much more significant 26% of the world economy. So, no, rest of the world cannot ignore what is happening in USA. Rest of world is also impacted by what is happening in USA. I agree with your other point though.

  • Leaker hints that iPhone 17 Pro will shoot 8K video

Really?   8k video from a tiny phone sensor?  Will it also usher in 2TB of storage option storage since storage increases dramatically? Other than some interesting tech achievement,  I doubt this is much use to most people and doubtful it will ever be.

i remember a few years back using a Nikon z6 camera and doing 4k, not 8k video, it struggled to keep up and had heat issues.  Will an iPhone be able to do 8k video without overheating \melting?
Absolutely, without breaking a sweat. 8k video recording is available in Android phones for last 5 years. They don't overheat or melt. If Android phones with inferior SoCs can handle 8k video recording without issues, Apple's iPhones will be able to handle it effortlessly.

  • Apple redesigning iPhone fold display to extend battery life

Isn’t there a new battery material that was supposed to solve the slimming issue? I know some Android phones have it already. I believe it is the silicon-carbon mix.
Yes, you are right. It is silicon-carbon. And it has helped in increasing the battery capacity by 20%-30% in the last year or so. Earlier, 5000mah was the typical battery capacity in Android phones. Now, 6000mah battery has become the norm in Android phones, except for few OEMs like Samsung, Motorola who have not used those batteries for some reason. Some phones have battery capacity in excess of 7000mah as well. I think Apple would have been testing them for last 1 year or so and would have found it suitable to use it in the upcoming iPhones later this year.
