Apple owners would pay up to $600 more for a folding iPhone

Editorial: A record $4.3B R&D spend proves Apple is building for the future
Apple's R&D ramp quite impressive and it's internal accounting comparisons. More reliable than external comparisons with rivals who might seek bragging rights. Key of course is recruiting top tier grads and proven performers. My hunch is Apple will find that even better now, given 1. Privacy cache at Cupertino and more liberal publishing in areas like AI and ML and 2. Facebook, Amazon, Google, etc stock incentives not as big differentiators as in years past -
Editorial: No, Apple isn't in a post-iPhone era, and won't be anytime soon
So yes, the refresh rate on iphones is stretching with maturation. Unlike eight years ago, people are also refreshing Apple watches, airpods, ipads, etc. and getting further enmeshed in ecosystem (maybe even more strongly tied than many who vow to a partner "for better, or worse"). What's also good: as smartphones in general become trashed less often, the assured longevity of Iphone means rising attraction to more Android boys and girls. -
Editorial: As Apple plays the telephone game, analysts hear something else entirely
All good. My one critique is: shouldn't you break down market share geographically? Of course most readers here know Apple killing it in US and Japan. Not Europe or China. And insignificant in India, Brasil, etc. Does Huawei woes (and Apple's expanding offerings in services, ecosystem) mean potential leaps serving more rising middle class? But I guess that's a whole set of articles. ;-) -
