Editorial: The new Services - How will Apple Arcade's exclusivity, privacy affect Android ...
Enjoyable series (and appreciate dive into Samsung previously and today's use of Android blog excerpt). One apparent discordance with Services push and Apple touting nearly 1 billion iOS users I've yet to see addressed. Roughly how many families are we talking about? Family subscriptions to News+, Arcade, etc. shrink that pool, but obviously have long term benefits. But if say that reduces pool substantially, like to under 500,000, it might suggest allowing iPad (not just iphone) and future Glasses to be gateway to Watch and Airpods. -
Tim Cook says $30M Carnegie Library Apple Store is more than about selling iPhones
This will be DC's chief Apple Store. The store in DC's Georgetown area is cramped. Even though I live in the city, I go out to Virginia burb to Clarendon Apple Store which is also small and noisy. This is much needed. Plus being across from hotels and DC Convention Center should attract many out-of-towners. Dare I say some bored Android stragglers might even pop in? -

Analysts positive on Apple's results, seeing signs of iPhone demand recovery
I listened to call and they brilliantly succeeded in disclosing minimal information, and sidestepping questions. Google was even more opaque, and drew criticism. It surprised me that the dividend boost was so paltry. I'm hoping that's because they've got some incredible things rolling out post 2020. -
Apple's millennial leap from fading Golden Age icon to flexible, flashy plastic fashion
Your mention of Steve veering Apple back to premium. Isnt it a more accessible premium now? When you consider life cycle, ease, ecosystem, etc many Apple purchases seem a better deal than daily Starbucks (another example of popular premium). Also interesting that Google (pixel phone) and Amazon (whole foods) striving to lure premium consumers. Looks like the secret is out. I think its easier for Apple to broaden access if it choses than for its rivals to poach premium.
