Video growing at what 15-plus percent annually? Apple need not produce the next Game of Thrones to be a significant winner here. Like only a few others, they can play the long game. Oddly, they can also take more risks than Hollywood or startups. I hope they do. But yet to see it. My hope is they hit lots of singles, versus home runs. Their platform and patience and Siri allows pretty granular tastes for sub groups of their billion devices.

What impresses me are the BRIC stats, showing No. 2 India potential traction in something Apple related. (BTW, English language mags ala Apple News+ great potential, great deal for family plan. Rival Readly App leading greatly though in non-US magazines. )

I made it in first batch as early as 27March delivery. Grown normally sane man awaiting shipping notice as eagerly/impatiently as a 3 year old. Apple one of the few companies who can do this.

Nice piece. The iPhone and AppleWatch symbiosis is required for ultra trusted ecosystem for financial transactions etc. In future, who knows, perhaps the watch could be a gateway product, or used with iPad or AR glasses. Each year it gets harder for rivals. Not as easily copied as phone components. DED listed seemingly intrinsic hurdles for rivals to Apple's dominance. Reassuring, but I'm always partly paranoid.

Hope Apple gets more out of it than it's giving up. Goldman alliance would seem to tarnish Apple image on Main Street, and cries about inequality aren't getting any quieter
