Select 2013 and 2014 MacBook Air, Pro models to be declared vintage and obsolete in April
Heck with the parts! I want the OS and security patches. The machine runs fine but what to do when some hack-ass finds a way to compromise the machine which then needs a patch Apple won’t produce because the OS is old and you can’t upgrade anymore. Ugh! Love my 2012 MacBook Air. Still runs like a new machine and better than any PC I have ever owned with that many years on it.

Apple's Mac mini now inexcusably getting trounced by cheap Intel hardware
Last week I bought a 1TB SSD and Mac Mini tools, watched the YouTube video, and replaced the hard drive. What a difference it made!!!! Things that took 10 to 30 seconds to open are up within 3 to 5 seconds. Its super fast compared to what it was. It’s like having a whole new machine. Whatever Apple makes to replace it, I hope they just put an SSD in it. FYI, the process to replace the drive is not hard but you do have to tear down most of the machine CAREFULLY which would be entirely unnecessary if you could just open the top cover! -
How to back up your Mac, and why you should do it now
I would like to see a comprehensive article that covers the restore process from these products rather than just the backup process. I have recovered corrupted mac disks with time machine and the process is as simple as booting into a recover mode and selecting time machine as the source, wait an hour or hours and your Mac is back! But, what about Super Duper and CCC? Do I need to make a boot device and then get it to copy clone the drive back? I assume the process is more involved? Thanks
