iPhone 11 versus Pixel 4 -- Benchmark and hands on comparison
The biggest drawback of the Pixel 4 is video. It can only shoot 4K video at 30 frames per second, and is limited to only 1080P on the selfie cam. Apple can do 4K on iPhone 11's selfie camera and 60 frames per second on the rear cameras. -
Google ships first beta of Flutter framework for developing both iOS and Android apps
Google blinked. They should be pushing devs to use their 1st party native APIs. That strategy can't be working, so instead they are trying the well-worn path of cross-platform compatibility to coax developers to their platform. Developers would seem to win, and not-so-great apps are better for your ecosystem than no apps; but users dislike sub-par applications and eventually migrate to developers using native APIs.
File this alongside Flash and Java Swing. There's a long line of attempts by smaller ecosystems to obtain more apps when faced with a more successful competitor, from OS/2's DAPIE to Microsoft paying for Windows Phone ports. There's no reason to think this attempt will do anything to stem the market's iOS-first approach.

This is a REMOTE EXPLOIT. You can use VNC to trigger it!mattinoz said:You could have put "Local" in the headline. I'm sure I'm not the only one here looking after a group of Mac for business or family who'd really appreciate direct triage information in the headline. -

Your instructions are incorrect. Disabling the root user doesn't help.
https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=15800676 says
"You're enabling the root user EVERY time you use this vulnerability. Even if you disable the root user in Directory Utility, logging in with root and no password will re-enable the root user."
You really need to set a password for "root" (using the same Directory Utility tool & nearby menu). After Apple releases a fix, remember to come back and disable the root user.
