Although I don’t like Windows myself and will never use it because of that, their hardware design and some of their innovations is spectacular. They integrated touch and desktop computing elegantly and being able to tilt the device like that is great.

The stuff, thick chin iMacs look extremely dated and boring in comparison. It’s about time they made their desktops exciting again.

These renders are really ugly. I seriously doubt it.
Also, it appears we ended up in an era of really boring product design. Minimalism has turned until boring, no-risk product design. I understand there is only so much you can do with phones and tablets (versus something like a desktop) but where is the fun, the bold statements, the magic? It’s comparing a Mazda to a Mitsubishi. Both are fine, mature cars, but boring as hell. 

Edit: apologies, did not read the entire thread. Apparently someone else made a similar comparison with cars. 

The iPad without headjack will be useless for audio and video production because of the latency introduced with wireless audio being totally unacceptable. A lighting powered plug solves it but loses charging, essential for production
