Super dull upgrade but exciting for who they are targeting.

It’s about time Apple open sources more of their software. They can still fully own their code anyway. Security through obscurity only goes so far.

If it’s open, the community can locate and contribute to finding weaknesses instead of allowing the likes of Cellebrite to find weaknesses they plan to keep secret to the general public. 

I just had two failed Face ID authentications to log on to this forum and had to type in my passcode. That’s become the new norm. I miss Touch ID.
After the hype people realized that the X is not a great phone. It’s good, but it’s not great. Apple charged $250 extra to provide a solution for a problem that didn’t exist.

I agree. Which (with such good intent on Apple’s side) is why they should have been transparent about the fact they were throttling speed.
The moment someone has to discover a correlation between battery health and phone speed, is the moment you are in legal trouble.

Apple arrogance in full effect. I won’t be able to tell Siri to play music in Spotify? Forget it! I can’t do it in the car either and it’s super annoying. Apple is still not opening up Siri fully while Amazon and Google do.

To work with Siri, Spotify needs to write a connector, which Spotify hasn’t done.  

Which Spotify isn’t ALLOWED to do. Siri is only open to specific kinds of software, and audio streaming services are excluded from this (because most likely Apple wants to make Spotify a subpar experience to Apple Music)
